New High-Level Platform for Saratoga Springs

May 13, 2026 Construction is underway on a new high-level platform at the Saratoga Springs Rail Station and is on track for completion in summer 2027. The $12.5 million project was funded by the Federal Railroad Administration and part of Amtrak’s ADA Stations Program.

Underway on Nuclear Power! Siemens to Build an Atomic Charger

April 1, 2026 Siemens Mobility announced a partnership with Nova Atomics of Glenville, NY on building a nuclear-powered prototype variant of their Charger locomotive. Manufacturing will occur in Upstate New York in Glenville and Horseheads... or would have if this was not an April Fools' article :D
